Invited by the Berne University of Applied Sciences I was able to speak at the 22nd  International Timber Construction Forum in Garmisch-Partenkirchen (Germany) with a presentation on “Summertime overheating risks and climate change”.Starting with a focus on thermal mass and the influence of construction types I tried to broaden the topic to a more general approach, covering climate change issues, the summerly heat balance of buildings, solar gains and natural cooling.
