1. Register with htflux.com

To download the software it is necessary to become a registered user. This will take only a couple of minutes. Along with the registration you will automatically get a serial number to use a fully functional version of HTflux for a free trial period. To register click on the “My HTflux Login” link at the top right corner of our website. (After you have registered you can also use this link to login with your username and password.) To register pick a username and password and provide a valid email address. The registration process will be accomplished once you click on the confirmation link, which you will receive in your email account. The email will be sent immediately and should usually be available within few seconds or minutes. Please check your spam folder or spam settings if you do not receive this mail within short time.

2. Logging in & downloading the software

Click on the “My HTflux Login” link at the top right side of the website. Sign in with the username and password combination that you have chosen before. On the left menu bar select “Downloads” and click on the “Download HTflux” button. The download will start immediately. If you do not have a serial number yet, you will automatically be assigned one now. Remember this serial number as you will use it to run HTflux for the first time. If you don’t remember it you can also look it up later (see below).

3. Installing HTflux

Run the setup program that has been downloaded. After choosing a language and folder HTflux will automatically be installed on your system. HTflux has been compiled and tested for Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8. It will run on 32-bit as well as on 64-bit operating systems. Due to the very strong memory restrictions on 32-bit systems we highly recommend to install HTflux only on 64-bit Windows versions.

Important: due to the ongoing certification process for software producers an “unknown publisher” or “windows protected your computer” warning will pop up. Please select the option “Run anyway” there. On some versions you will have to click on “Information” first, to see the options “Run anyway”.

4. Activating HTflux

When running HTflux for the first time you will be asked for a valid serial number. This number has been provided to you when you downloaded HTflux for the first time. If you do not remember the serial number log into “My HTflux” and open the page “License status”. All registered serials will be listed there along with the duration of each license. Usually you will just have to enter the serial number when running HTflux for the first time.

After entering the serial number you will be asked for an activation code to activate the installation of HTflux on this PC. To get an activation code click on the blue button “Request new activation code” on the left side of the license window. Immediately an alphanumeric activation code will be sent to your email. Restart HTflux and enter the activation code into the input box (easiest by using copy & paste). HTflux is ready for use now!
HTflux request activation code

Usually you will just have to enter the serial number when running HTflux for the first time. It might occur more often that you will have to request an activation code (e.g. when the software had not been closed properly, or when you switch to another hardware).

Note: you are allowed to use HTflux for commercial use during the trial period. You can also install HTflux on more than one PCs (e.g. notebook and desktop PC). However you are not allowed to use two installations with one serial simultaneously. For this reason you will have to request a new activation code every time you switch from one system to another. There is no limitation on the number of activations codes that you request as long as there is no obvious abuse of the license.
